Panasonic developed a multifunctional solar panel technology as a provider of electrical energy for people in rural areas.
The company introduced its new solar panel technology called containers solar panels, solar module and 48 completed the battery, Panasonic Gobel Indonesia office in Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to Panasonic Gobel Indonesia president director Ichiro Suganuma, these solar panels to generate electricity independently to power an average of six kWh per day throughout the year as needed.
"This could still be used though not every day there is sun. There is energy storage battery that can last for two to three days," he said.
Electrical energy from solar panels, according to him, then can be used to animate a variety of electronic devices such as lights, televisions, refrigerators and more.
"It would be better if we are using energy-efficient electronic devices," he said.
In addition to domestic use, he explains, container panels can also be used as a provider of electric energy at retail stores and health facilities, education, and communication.
Ichiro also explained that it had not market these products in Indonesia.
"Want to test first. The target could be marketed because of the potential market is large enough, the rural population who do not have access to electricity is still a lot," he said.
In the early stages, he said, the test device of solar panels will be conducted in areas that the power supply disrupted by the disaster.
"We want to make plans with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), would be sent to anywhere will suit your needs. This will be part of the implementation of our corporate social responsibility," he said.
