Enrich Ingestor with Hitachi Data File Restoration

Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS), adding the ability to Hitachi Data Ingestor (HDI) in the form sharing features new content, file restoration and migration of the NAS (network-attached storage).

With the latest version, HDI claim could offer no backup and storage solutions can be developed for IT users whose location is widespread, such as the ROBO (remote office, branch office) and users of cloud storage.

Supported Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) latest feature acts as a virtual device that is capable of transmitting data from the infrastructure layer to the outermost layer of the core infrastructure. This will facilitate the transfer of data to cloud systems effectively.

"Saving and protecting corporate data in one location can be a daunting task. With so many locations, it is increasingly difficult task. To help organizations face these challenges, Hitachi Data Systems brings the concept of Object Storage, "said Miki Sandorfi, Chief Strategist, File, Content and Cloud, Hitachi Data Systems.

When combined with the HCP, said Miki, latest HDI solutions enable customers to manage, protect, and back up data while reducing the area needed for infrastructure.

Hitachi Data Ingestor (HDI), will act as a caching device. Thus able to provide unlimited storage for its users and applications. Moreover, the HDI also claimed to be able to provide a range of new capabilities for cloud or a distributed environment.

Another advantage is the restoration file. Users can call back the old file versions, including those that have been deleted. Users can also maintain control access to files and directories.
