ZTE Skate Finally Launched

China mobile phone manufacturer, ZTE Corporation has finally launched a smart phone (smartphone) as the first non-packaged products (bundling) in Indonesia, ZTE Skate.

"ZTE Skate has been launched in various countries such as China, the United States, Japan, and Europe in early 2012," said Director of PT ZTE Indonesia Devices Division, Susanto Sosilo, in a press conference in Jakarta, Monday (13/8) night.

Susanto recognizes ZTE Skate presence in Indonesia longer than other countries because of ZTE's first look at the potential of the smart phone market in Indonesia. "Because this product is more stable and ZTE became the best selling products so readily accepted globally," Susanto said.

ZTE Skate has a 4.3 inch screen size that follows the trend of the ideal smart phone screen between 3.5 inches to five inches. "If a three-inch screen size was too small and the size of more than five inches already, including tablets," Susanto said.

President Director of PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI), Agus Honggo Widodo, ZTE mobile phones as the official distributor in Indonesia say Skate will be available on the market in late August 2012 at a price of Rp 1.9 million. "The benefit mainly from lower product prices than other brand mobile phone," said Agus.

Agus did not mention the ZTE Skate sales targets, but said his optimism for the smart phone penetration in Indonesia reached 25 million units per year.

ZTE Skate uses the Android operating system 2.3, 5 megapixel camera, 800 mega hertz Qualcomm processor, internal storage capacity of 512 mega bits, and battery with a duration of up to five hours of talk time.
