Hardware manufacturer AMD introduced two SoC (System on a Chip) in the event the new Future of Compute held in Singapore on Thursday (11/20/2014).
Both SoC is carrying the name "Carrizo" to consumers who favor the performance and "Carrizo-L" for mainstream classes.
Carrizo and Carrizo-L will be part of the processor Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) Mobile AMD that will be enjoyed by consumers in the first half of 2015.
AMD will be holding a number of hardware manufacturers and software partners her to develop a complete computing products, ranging from computer device for daily work assignments, playing games, to multimedia support 4K resolution graphics.
Some features that include support for Microsoft DirectX 12, OpenCL 2.0, AMD Mantle, AMD Freesync, and supports Microsoft's future operating system, Windows 10.
"With Carrizo, AMD wants to deliver power-efficient computing experience yet powerful for a variety of systems," he said Joe Macri, Chief Technology Officer, AMD Carrizo when introduced to a number of media attended the event "Future of Compute" in Singapore.
Added by Joe, besides being able to reduce power, Carrizo can also increase energy while providing superior security for all client devices will get enterprise-class security
Carrizo processors will integrate a new CPU with password "Excavator" and AMD Radeon graphics first is the concept of Heterogeneous Systems Architecture (HSA) 1.0.
While SoC "Carrizo-L" will use the CPU codenamed "Puma +" with R-Series GPU Radeon GCN for mainstream system configuration.
Secure Processor AMD security system will also be integrated into the APU "Carrizo" and "Carrizo-L," so that consumers can get enterprise-class security protection, the ARM TrustZone for consumer class users.
AMD hopes the Carrizo APU, hardware manufacturers will be easier to design a variety of mobile systems products for commercial and consumer circles.
Carrizo and Carrizo-L is planned to be released by AMD in the first half of 2015. While the range of products supporters, such as laptops and PC systems All-in-One that carries the latest AMD APU is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2015.
