Alcatel Lucent and Broadcom Develops Device Integrated Broadband Residential

Alcatel-Lucent and Broadcom Corporation collaborated to develop a reference design of an integrated Femtocell gateway. These devices combine access and Femtocell residential gateway capabilities into a single device. 

Designs that incorporate chipsets, hardware and Broadcom 9360 family of products Small Cells Alcatel-Lucent, will become the standard for the production of femto-based residential gateway. Devices that have integrated allows the ability of small cells made directly into the DSL, residential gateway cable or fiber.

Integrated devices will fundamentally change the residential broadband experience - expanding voice services, video and data wireless and wireline, to all parts of the house, even to the "blind spot, blind spot" wireless.

"Through collaboration with Broadcom, Small Cells approach Alcatel-Lucent 9360 can be found in Femtocell gateway reference design that Broadcom's integrated," said Yannick Dupuch, General Manager of Small Cells, Alcatel-Lucent.
