LED TV Vs LCD TV, Where Save More Electricity?

Television technology continues to change. Black and white television that emerged in the 1970s, began to turn into the color television tube television.
Beginning in the 1990s, the television re-experiencing the change, the switch from television tubes to flat screens. Of this emerging technology flat screen LCD and LED TVs.
In plain view, LCD TV and LED difficult to distinguish. If relying on observation at a glance, people will tend to choose LCD TVs because the picture is brighter with a strong color contrast.

Images or display is very bright and contrast LCD display thanks to the use of CCFL Backlight TV actually makes it more wasteful of electricity.
The TV uses LED Backlight LED lighting that adapts to the needs of the colors that appear to have a variation (range) are more diverse.
This causes a visible LED TV looks much fainter. However, this also makes LED TV can save 50 percent of electricity usage.
Here is the standard calculation of electricity costs incurred when using the LCD and LED TVs:

LCD TV (110 watts) 10 hours x 365 days = USD 441 650

LED TV (50 watt) 10 hours X 365 days = USD 200 750
These calculations are based on electricity tariffs by an average use of 10 hours per day, for one year.
"With these savings, within six years you will save up to Rp 1.5 million," said Marvy Lumentut Arnold, Head of TV-AV Product Marketing Samsung Electronics Indonesia, in a media briefing at the Ritz Carlton, Jakarta, Wednesday (11 / 4/2012).
In addition, Samsung is now offering a smaller frame for LED TV. If the LCD TV has a frame that covers the screen up to 66 millimeters (mm), LED TV has only a 14 mm frame.
That the smaller frame will make a bigger screen so that owners can get more out of television with the broader picture, plus a wider range of colors.
Plus, LED TV, especially those produced by Samsung, has LED Motion Plus technology. This technology produces a wider movement by increasing the number of frames in the calculation algorithm.
LMP algorithm creates up to 16 ms response rate and up to 120 CMR effect by entering the frame antargambar. This is what causes the LED TVs can create image detail, especially in fast moving scenes.
"So rather than buy LCD TVs bear, it's better to buy direct LED TVs. Beda cost just a few hundred thousand, but it can save electricity through the years. Our estimates, LED TVs can last up to ten years of use, outside the disaster-stricken, "Arnold closed.
