So Skype Default Applications in Windows 8.1

Microsoft confirmed that Skype will be the default application in the Windows 8.1 operating system for personal computers and tablets.

Skype in Windows 8.1 include the ability to allow users to receive voice and video calls, although a computer or tablet screen is locked. Meaning, he will run in the background to be able to receive notification of calls and instant messages.

Quoting from The Verge, Microsoft said Skype app will bring 20 updates and better than previous versions.


The steps taken to integrate all the internet services in Microsoft latest operating system, especially for the Windows tablet 7-inch to 8 inches. The company has a mission to integrate Skype with Outlook.com, Xbox One, even Office Outlook desktop email service.

Windows 8.1 itself restore the taste of the Windows operating system, which Microsoft has restored the Start button. There is also the option to let users instantly landed on the desktop when the computer is turned on.
