Twitter Now Have Emergency Alert Feature

Twitter social networking pages complete with an emergency alert feature , including notification of the existence of a disaster such as an earthquake or tsunami .
When news about the weather or security emergencies , government agencies and emergency responders can immediately take action on the ground , and Twitter provide important and timely information to the public , Twitter said in its official blog on Wednesday ( Thursday GMT) .
"Today we launched a Twitter Alerts , a new feature that brings us one step closer to helping users get important and accurate information during emergencies , natural disasters or when other communication services are not accessible , " he said .
A quick warning that can help organizations or anyone interested in a rescue program or other action related disasters or security emergencies .


Emergency warning will appear on the user's cell phone in the form of messages or SMS when your account authorities mark the message as " emergency alert " .
Warning will appear different from regular Tweets on the main page Twitter user timeline , which is marked with orange bell icon .
Twitter Alert program is available both for institutions locally, nationally , and internationally that provide critical information to the general public .
Twitter gives priority access to the features of the law enforcement , public rescue agencies , emergency management agencies , local governments and their agencies, state and regional agencies , public service providers , as well as national institutions and civil society organizations .
To institutions that meet these qualifications can enroll in courses Twitter Alerts by filling out the form provided by the well-known social networking .
Now , according to Twitter , has more than 100 civil society organizations and government agencies in the United States , Japan , and Korea have joined the Twitter Alerts .
