SpaceX Request Permission Bring the Internet into Space

Over the past few months, SpaceX intense meeting with Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Space transport company that wants to get FCC approval to realize the ambitious project, which is bringing the internet to the terrestrial horizon.

Parking space is actually not new proposed SpaceX. US based company that has submitted the idea since the past few years.

However, the new proposal was completed in November. In the proposal indicated that the Internet space systems can work with 4,425 mobile satellite placed at a distance of about 1,127 meters above the Earth's surface.

Some satellites pinned 40 degrees above the horizon line at almost every point of the earth, as reported by TheVerge and collected KompasTekno, Saturday (03/18/2017).

The purpose of the Internet space initially as a way to connect colonists on Mars SpaceX. In addition, the system can be customized to provide easy and continuous access to the base stations on earth.

By doing so, the system can be simpler internet and includes a wider public, even to remote areas difficult to reach the earth.

Business "sexy"

Installation of a satellite which covers the whole world seems to be your "sexy" in the next few years, especially if the 5G technology is already implemented. Network technology that would increase the public demand for the Internet, then SpaceX proposal will be needed.

In addition to SpaceX, Boeing which is a competitor of its arch is also developing similar technology. There are also new players, namely OneWeb, who wanted to do the installation of the same satellite.

Installation space satellite internet requires money 6 billion dollars or about Rp 80 trillion.

In the next few months, the FCC said will spawn rules for the companies given licenses for the installation of satellite internet space. That regulation includes the setting up of market competition, the use of spectrum, and possible collaboration between companies.
