Intel Announces First "18 Core" Desktop Processor in the World

Core i7 finally retired as the most powerful desktop processor made by intel. Its role was replaced by the i9 cores that had just been released in Computex, Taiwan.

This is good news for game lovers and content creators. This processor is designed for those who are thirsty for smooth-resolution visual appearance and high-speed devices.

This processor is mumpuni for Mixed Reality game, which is a combination between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Streaming process was promised to be smooth without a hitch.

Overall there are five intel core i9 models. Each is a core i9 with 10 cores, 12 cores, 14 cores, 16 cores, and the toughest one is the 18 cores.

For the initial stage, core i9 berinti 10 which is capable of running 20 tasks at once that became available in the market. The processor has a clock speed of 3.3 GHz, along with Intel Turbo Boost Max technology that can raise clock speeds up to 4.5 GHz.

Core core 10 core i9 has a memory L3 cache of 13.75 MB that supports 4 channel DDR4-2666 RAM and Thermal Design Power (TDP) with a capacity of 140W. The price is released 999 US dollars or USD 13.3 million.

Meanwhile, core i9 with core 12, 14, 16, and 18 will follow later on the market. The 18-core processor is the first in the consumer market.

"This is the most scalable, accessible, and powerful desktop platform," Intel claims.

In addition to core i9, intel also announced improvements to Core i5 and Core i7 processors. There is a Core i5-7640X model that offers core 4 core and is capable of undergoing 4 tasks at once.

As for Core i7 there is a variant that berinti 4 with 8 tasks and berinti 8 with 16 tasks. The three are sequentially priced 242 US dollars (USD 3.2 million), 339 US dollars (USD 4.5 million), and 599 US dollars (Rp 7.9 million).
