Performance AMD Kaveri 'Beat' Intel Haswell

AMD today, Wednesday (06/04/2014) officially announced the presence of Accelerated Processing Units (APU) for notebook Kaveri. In data showed toughness models revealed AMD A10 APU graphics performance 50 percent better and faster computing performance than the Intel i5-4200U (Haswell).

In his presentation, Kevin Lensing, SR. Director, Mobility Solutions Client Business Units AMD in Taipei, said the data is based on testing by AMD Performance Labs. Using 3DMark 11 benchmark test, the graphics performance on AMD A10 APU-7300 with a score of 1420, while the Haswell platform 946 U resulted in a score.

To model FX APU, AMD chip performance is claimed to have 58 percent better graphics performance and higher computational performance than Intel i7-4500U 'Haswell'. The latest AMD APU also lower battery consumption problem.

"The latest revolution. Better core architecture. Most powerful CPU, the balance of system (CPU and GPU), offers a new experience for the user (end user)," said Kevin Lensing, SR. Director, Mobility Solutions Client Business Units AMD told reporters in Taiwan, Wednesday (04/06/2014).

AMD Kaveri is designed to offer the best performance of computing and graphics packaged into a single chip. This product supports DirectX 11.2, PCI Express Gen 3, and True AMD Technology.

Kevin also explained that the processor is performing with HSA feature, which offers the power of the GPU and CPU. When totaled, there are 12 core, which consists of 4 core CPUs and 8 GPUs.

AMD Kaveri comes to bring new innovations in the use of laptops. Later, the product Kaveri APU powered notebook can support as well as technology features Face Login Motion Gesture. With Mantle technology, developers will be able to create a PC game with the best graphics.
