Intel Launches New Chip Haswell-E

Intel will launch its latest chip Haswell-E and X99 on 29 August 2014, the Company unveil a new generation of CPUs that support the performance of the desktop PC.

Reported by Neowin, Tuesday (08/19/2014), the website Hermitage Akihabara saying that some reliable sources say that Intel Haswell-E and Intel X99 Express was launched on August 29, 2014.

Previously, the new chip is rumored to release in the second half of 2014 Hermitage Akihabara also noted that the company is preparing for a new generation of Intel CPUs and motherboards.

Two X99 motherboards have been revealed in a picture uploaded by Guru 3D and LinusTechTips. Both types mATX and ATX motherboard is priced at USD250 and USD400.

MATX configuration features three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, four DIMM slots, connector storage M.2 and six 6Gbps SATA ports. While ATX models, the EVGA X99 has five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 and one x4 slot, eight DIMM slots and 10 ports SATA3 6Gbps.

Emerging products Haswell-E reportedly will give strength to the 8-core processor and support DDR4.
