Windows 9 is the family of Microsoft's new operating system called "Threshold" which also includes the operating system for tablet and smartphone devices.
Windows 9 itself is suppose to be carrying a number of updates for the convenient use of the system oeprasi it on devices that do not have a touchscreen.
A number of new features in this operating system versions mentioned include Start Menu "mini" applications "Metro" that can run on a desktop environment and encased in a "window", and a personal assistant technology Cortana.
Most of the changes in Windows 9 possibility of deliberately created by Microsoft to "treat" the disappointment some users who feel that Windows 8 touch screen interface too forward.
Version "Technology preview" of Windows 9 also rumored to be available free to the public and can be tried by anyone.
