Really Magnet Can Ruin Smartphone

Magnets are often touted could endanger the smartphone, especially if the screen is too often adjacent to it. In fact, many smartphone accessories that use magnetic materials, such as container or grip in the car. But is the information?

"Most of the magnetism that you see today, including even the most powerful on the market, it will not give effect to the smartphone," said Matt Newby of first4magnets.com.

"It applies only to the ancient electronic equipment, such as a monitor or CRT televisions are susceptible to magnetic induction," said Matt.

KompasTekno quoted from Digital Trends, Monday (06/01/2015), most modern television and screen smartphone currently available free from the influence of the magnet.

Matt explained, when the magnet closer to the old electronic device, the image on the screen can be distorted due to the magnetic field, but existing technology is now able to handle it.

Most modern electronic equipment, such as smartphones, will not be affected by magnetic fields. Even in smartphone was actually there is a component that uses a magnet, such as a digital compass or magnetometer.

The only effect that can be generated by the magnet on the device is a smartphone that works compass inaccurate.

"Magnet will affect the existing magnetic sensors in smartphones, if a smartphone component attracted by the magnet, the compass calibration will be difficult," said K & J technician named Michael Paul.

This compass applications typically used by mapping applications, such as Google Maps on a smartphone to identify which direction the user is heading. In addition, there are also some games that utilize a compass for orientation reference.
