Instagram Intend To Extend Video Duration Up To One Hour

Restricted video duration on Instragram may be for some people considered a gig. Because not infrequently users have to cut up the video in order to post the video.

However, to overcome this, Instagram is considering to extend the duration of videos that can be uploaded.

Quoted from The Verge, Wednesday (6/6), Instagram is reportedly developing a new feature, which allows users to post videos up to one hour. With the new features, Instagram is considered to be able to match YouTube and its own parent company, Facebook. However, the plan Instagram is still tentative, aka not necessarily done.

If it is done, the new feature is rumored to be focused on vertical video, like Instagram Stories. It's just not clear whether longer videos will be allowed only in that part of the app or are also allowed in the main feed.

Currently, Instagram Stories are limited to 15 seconds, videos in the main feed can run a little longer in 60 seconds.

Features Stories has more than 300 million active users every day last November. Instagram itself has more than 800 million users. The company has in recent weeks held discussions with potential partners (content creators and publishers) about the possibility of producing longer videos.
