Apple added the latest features to its wireless earphones. Not just for listening to music or podcasts, Airpods can also function as hearing aids for those who are hearing impaired.
With this latest feature, Airpods promises users to hear the sound becomes more clear in the middle of the noise. This latest feature utilizes iOS 12 operating system.
Through iOS 12, Airpods can exploit assistive hearing technology developed by Apple, Live Listen. This technology has been on iPhone, iPad, or iPod since 2014.
To use this feature on Airpods, pair Airpods via bluetooth to your iOS 12 device. Then, go to Settings and choose Control Center. Tap Customize Control and then Hearing. After pairing the Airpods to the ear, point Control Center to your phone, tap Hearing then Live Listen.
By using a microphone on your iPhone, you will hear a very clear sound from Airpods. For more optimal results, place your iPhone closer to the other person. Reported by USA Today, these accessories will soon be launched this year.
