Wow, 15 billion downloads on the App Store!

Since the App Store launched in July 2008, there were 15 billion-plus downloads on the distribution system online application for iPhone, iPod Touch, and the iPad.

 
In his announcement, as quoted by Mashable, Thursday (07/07/2011), Apple said today in the App Store there are more than 425,000 applications and 100,000 applications of which were created specifically for the tablet of Apple, iPad.

Until now, Apple has already paid the application developer some 2.5 billion U.S. dollars. Apple's net income gain from the sale of applications it is worth more than 1 billion U.S. dollars.

In January 2010, App Store downloads exceed 3 billion, and in January 2011, Apple announced that the App Store already passed the 10 billion downloads. Apple only takes six months to reach 15 billion downloads.
