LG International Successful Test Voice to Video Based LTE

LG successfully test-voice services to video-based Long Term Evolution. This service uses the process of converting IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Profile for Conversational Video Service.

Tryouts take place in the arena of Mobile World Congress that took place in Barvcelona, Spain. IMS itself is a standard defined for the GSM Association manages the delivery of both video and voice data through the LT LG will launch the corresponding LTE-capable smartphone with Video Conversation service later this year.

 
"LG will continue to lead in LTE by developing and introducing innovations which consumers can actually feel (something new) and memetif benefit from it," said Dr. Jong-Seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications. He added that progress in the sector LTE impressive and sound to video conversion technology that has claimed to be the best and can be widely adopted by industry.

Last year at the same event, LG successful demo voice over LTE and video calls. Before the introduction of LTE technology, high-definition video calls on a smartphone is not possible, because the 3G network can not handle the volume of data at the speed required for high-quality video images.
