Alert, Android Many Virus

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a warning about mobile malware and security to users of smartphones, especially for devices based on the Android operating system.

According to the Internet Crime Complaint Center reports, it is known that there are several variations of malware attacks are common in Android-based devices, such as Loozfon and FinFisher.

Quoted from BGR, these malware types are different and also have different functions. There is malware used to steal important data users to take control of an infected device.



FBI suggests some simple things to the smartphone users to protect the device. One way is to use an antivirus application to protect data.

When the download or purchase an app, the FBI advises users to fully understand what permissions granted to the application. Most users do not read well permits they provide.

For example, there are some applications that take advantage of features like geo-location of a device. Such features can be exploited by cyber criminals to commit a cyber reconnaissance.

The FBI also recommends for all smartphone users to protect the device with a password and not arbitrary in accessing wi-fi network. Sometimes the network can be used to spread malware.

The FBI is also suggested for users of smartphones to continue to update the operating system and avoid jailbreak.
