Samsung Mobile Will "Doghouse" Thieves

Are under pressure to improve the security of smartphones, Samsung promised would soon release technology "anti-theft" for its products. This Samsung executive revealed in a closed meeting with the District Attorney George Gascon San Franciso and New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

As reported by the Huffington Post, the technologically works by controlling the device remotely. If a smartphone is stolen, the owner can lock the phone in question, delete data, or turn it off via the Samsung or mobile operator.

Once turned off, the smart phone is lost or stolen will not be used at all, even if fitted with a new SIM card or try to hack. It is expected that the perpetrators would not be interested in stealing smartphones because these objects can not be resold.

According to Gascon, this new feature should be available starting next July 1. Samsung's position as one of the market leaders are expected to encourage other manufacturers to implement similar technology.

A few days ago Apple has introduced a technology first "anti-theft" of the iPhone. But smart phones made by this company can still be used after it was stolen by entering the "activation code" that is seen will not reduce the sale value. "What we want is something that is really turning off smartphones," Gascon said last week.

Schneiderman, who partnered with Gascon in suppressing the smartphone manufacturers to push the crime rate, saying that he gave up early next year for Apple, Samsung, Google, and Microsoft to implement the technology "anti-theft" on its products.
