Nougat Android Officially Launched


Google started the launch of Android 7.0 Nougat for devices that support the operating system. As planned the Google launch came more than a month after the final availability of Android 7.0 Developer Preview.

Quoted from GSM Arena, Wednesday (24/8) number of devices that receive Nougat include Nexus 6P Huawei, LG Nexus 5X, Motorola Nexus 6, the HTC Nexus 9, the Asus Nexus Player, Google Pixel C, and General Mobile 4G.

As usual, the Android system update takes about one week to complete. Similarly, the devices that are running the Developer Preview will also get an update.

Nougat Android 7.0 also brings local capabilities and language, 72 new emoji, multi-window functionality, a way to quickly switch to the previous application (by pressing the button twice multitasking), Vulkan graphics API, and VR mode.

There is also a power saving feature Doze beterai hold on the Go, a custom Quick Settings, direct counter notification, notifications are bundled, mobile data saver, and file-based encryption, and much more.
