Seagate Releases SSD record-breaking 60 TB

In March, Samsung introduced the storage media of solid-state drive (SSD) with the largest capacity in the world. Able to accommodate file 15.36 TB, SSD was named PM1633a.

Less than a year, was ousted from the position PM1633a artificial Seagate SSD. Larger about four-fold, Seagate announced a record breaking new SSD with a capacity of 60 TB.

Reported KompasTekno, Wednesday (10/08/2016) from Engadget, the hard drive can accommodate around 12,000 movies and even 400 million photos. This is certainly suitable for those who like to take a snapshot or movie.

The SSD seems more suited to the interests of the enterprise. Seagate SSD jumbo makes it special for the enterprise as well as increase its portfolio in the field of data center alias data center.

According to Seagate, SSD jumbo built with an architecture that is simple and flexible. In the future, the same architecture claimed to be able to accommodate up to 100 TB file.

There are currently 60 TB SSD is still available as a demo product. Seagate has set 2017 as the year of the official launch of the storage media.

Although said to be flexible with a compact size, Seagate can not reveal the exact size SSD product. Clearly, the capacity of the SSD become the biggest Seagate today.
