Qualcomm Improve Voice Quality of USB Type-C Mobile Phone

The 3.5 audio connector is starting to disappear from the smartphone as some vendors move it and relocate it with audio output via the Type-C USB connector.

Users who want to convert the USB Type-C audio output to 3.5 mm plug can use a dongle converter. The problem is, this dongle usually produces a less good sound output.

The problem is trying to overcome Qualcomm by presenting digital codec to analog converter (DAC) Aqstic ATQ1000. It looks like a dongle converter with a Type-C USB imput and 3.5 mm audio output. It's just that, the quality of DAC in it is higher.

"Aqstic ATQ1000 supports sampling rates of up to 384 KHz, 32 bits, and dynamic range of over 120 decibels," said Qualcomm Senior Product Management Director Ravi Satya when announcing the presence of Aqstic ATQ1000 at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2017 in Maui, Hawaii, USA United, Thursday (7/12/2017).

ATQ1000 also supports Direct Stream Digital (DSD), which is preferred by audio fans, because it can produce the most natural sound compared to other formats.
Previously, Qualcomm has made DAC and audio codecs. However, this is the first USB Type-C Hi-Fi DAC to be made by the company.

Qualcomm does not create its own AQstic ATQ1000 for direct sale to consumers. It was submitted to a partner of a hardware partner who was interested in producing and selling a USB Type-C DAC to the high-quality 3.5 mm audio.

What about the time of his presence?

"It will be available next year," Ravi continued.
