Six Things Hidden in Facebook Messenger

A total of 1.3 billion people use Facebook Messenger every month. But do they really use it?

Since Messenger became a separate application, Facebook added functionality to make it stand out. This app has many hidden features, ranging from addictive games and how to send money.

Here are some things you do not know, but it can be done with Facebook Messenger, quoted from the page Mashable.

Use Messenger on your computer
If you want to notify your friends on your computer, without interruption of News Feed, try pulling Messenger directly to your computer. Just sign in to Messenger.com and sign in with your Facebook account. You can also access live conversations by going to Messenger.com/ and adding your friend's Facebook username to the end.

Desktop messenger looks like a Messenger page that can be accessed from Facebook, but does not have a Facebook search bar at the top of the screen.

Send and ask for money
Facebook has allowed users to send and receive money over the past few years. Just like Venmo, Messenger lets you connect credit cards to apps, and send money to friends, and ask for money from them as well.

To use it, link your debit card by going to Profile> Payments> Add New Debit Card. To send and request, enter a chat with a friend press the plus sign at the bottom left corner, select Payment, and enter the required amount.

Add friends directly with profile code
If you've ever met someone and want to communicate further, you can scan the unique profile code. To drag it, tap the profile icon in the top left corner of the app, then tap the large profile photo in the middle of the screen. Press My Code to display your own code, and Scan Code to scan the others.

Play the game
Facebook has an incredibly addictive line of games from Words Friends favorites, and 2048 for classics like Pacman and Snake, all of which can be played right in Messenger.

To challenge friends or groups of friends, start a conversation, press the plus sign, then select Games. If you are a loner, or you want to practice, start a conversation with yourself to play the game alone.

Chat with bots
If you have enough interaction with human beings, never fear, Messenger army of bots will accompany you. They will send you news, help you order, play games, and more. Tap Discover in the lower right corner, and start the conversation with the bot that suits you.

Secret Conversations
You can start encrypted conversations in Facebook Messenger that no one outside them can see, even the government or Facebook itself. They use end-to-end encryption similar to Facebook Whatsapp.

Start a conversation, tap Secret in the top right corner, then choose the friend you want to send the message. For your messages to disappear after a certain period of time, tap the clock icon to the left of the text box.
