Google Launches Latest Security Features for Gmail Users

Google recently announced that it will launch the latest security program for high-risk Gmail users such as government users, politicians and journalists alike.

They are considered vulnerable to the victims of hackers. Reported by Reuters, Google users will be able to choose security settings specifically intended to protect their data in Gmail, Google Drive and also YouTube. Such protection features will include a physical USB key lock connection to the computer before logging-in. If logged-in with a mobile phone, the feature will require a Bluetooth device.

In addition through Google, users of this security system can access data from other applications such as Apple and Microsoft Outlook. The program will also make the account recovery process more detailed and more complex. If the user loses the key, the program does not provide a backup log-in option unless they have to get it back through the complicated recovery process.

The launch of this special security program follows an incident that US president Hillary Clinton experienced during last year's presidential election season.
