Android Auto Will Present on Toyota Cars

In recent years, Android Auto has been increasingly adopted in a number of vehicles from various automotive manufacturers. Despite its increasing popularity, Toyota refused to let the software from Google enter its vehicle.

Now, Toyota is reported to have reached an agreement with Google to bring Android Auto to its vehicle, the Android Authority website said on Monday (9/24).

When Android Auto first entered the market, there were concerns about the number of vehicles and personal information that Google needed to make the software work. For this reason Toyota said it did not want third-party software installed on its infotainment system.

However, in January this year, Toyota agreed to allow Apple CarPlay to be present on Avalon, Corolla Hatchback and RAV4 with more vehicles in the future. Since then, company representatives have stated that there is a demand for Android Auto, but did not comment if Toyota would choose to include the platform.

Tips for Caring for Earphones and Headphones Correctly

Just like clothes, earphones and headphones that are used can also be dirty. The tools commonly used to listen to this music take the surrounding dirt and react to the user's secretions. That is why earphones or headphones need to be cleaned.

When wearing headphones indirectly, skin cells, sebum, earwax, and facial products stick to the parts that are touched. This makes it sticky so it becomes dirty. Then dirt can also come from our treatment when releasing or placing headphones. To be more durable, here are tips provided by the Engadget site to clean and maintain headphones.

1. Clean Regularly
The way to clean the headphone pads is quite easy. Clean using warm water mixed with soap that has been moistened on a damp cloth. Do this once a week. After cleaning with soapy water, make sure to dry it immediately with a soft cloth. When cleaning it, turn off and unplug headphones from the device. Never use alcohol to clean because it can damage headphone material and fade colors.

2. Use a Small Brush
For earphone types with earbuds, use a small brush when cleaning. First, remove the wax layer on the earbud when it will be cleaned. Do not push the brush because the dirt will be pushed in and build up. After brushing, use a soft cloth to clean it immediately.

Millions of iPhone Users Threatened Can't Use Whatsapp

Millions of iPhone users in the world are threatened to not be able to use WhatsApp. This is because the popular messaging service provider will stop support for the Apple iOS 7.1.2 operating system.

WhatsApp for iPhone requires iOS 8 or newer. On iOS 7.1.2, you will no longer be able to create a new account or use existing accounts, according to a statement on WhatsApp's official website on Thursday (20/9).

For iPhone users who are still using iOS 7.1.2, they can still use the WhatsApp application until February 1, 2020. "iOS 6 and lower (older versions) no longer support," said the statement.

To get the best experience, users are recommended to use the latest version of iOS available. Please visit the Apple Support website to learn how to update your smartphone software.

"We don't explicitly limit the use of devices that are 'jailbroken' or not locked. However, because these modifications can affect the functioning of your device, we cannot provide support for devices that use a modified version of the iPhone operating system," Whatsapp said.

This Is the Impact When You Charge the Mobile Phone Battery Overnight

Many of you may often hear not too long to charge your cellphone. This means making sure you unplug your cellphone from the charger after reaching 100 percent.

In addition, warnings such as not letting the cellphone to pop overnight appear frequently. Some of you might ignore this. But certainly, there are several reasons why you have to believe that.

Like reported from the Time page, Tuesday (9/18/2018), this is because cell phones contain lithium-ion (or li-ion) which can be recharged. Li-ion batteries charge faster than traditional rechargeable batteries.

That's why you can connect your iPhone or Android phone to a charger, and at least 80% of charging happens fast enough.

However, even cellphone batteries don't last long. If used all day, the battery will start losing power at night.

For that reason, many people might charge their cellphones overnight. They then found 100 percent power in the morning. Even though your cellphone may only need an hour or two to reach 100%.

Nvidia Develops AI System with Artificial Brain Scan Samples

One key to developing an artificial intelligence system or AI is a dataset. To improve accuracy, AI systems require very large samples. But the problem is, some datasets tend to be difficult to find.

Facing this challenge, a research team from Nvidia did not run out of mind to develop an AI system for the purposes of brain imaging. Instead of using the original sample, the research team used artificial or synthetic brain MRI images in three dimensions. These images show the brain with various conditions of cancerous lumps.

"For the first time we can make brain imaging that can be used to train neural networks (in AI systems)," explained senior researcher from Nvidia Hu Chang as reported by Venture Beat.

This AI system was developed using the deep PyTorch learning framework from Facebook and trained using the Nvdia DGX platform. The research team also utilizes the general general adversarial network (GAN) which consists of two parts of the neural network. This neural network consists of a generator that produces samples and a discriminator that functions to distinguish artificial samples and original samples to create convincing MRI images of the abnormal brain.

The research team used two sources of datasets to train GAN, namely the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) and the Multimodal Brain Tumor Image Segmentation Benchmark (BRATS). Memory and computational limitations force the team to reduce the scan resolution from these two sources from 256x256x108 to 128x128x54. But the research team also continued to use the original image for comparison.

A quarter of users in the US delete Facebook applications

More than a quarter (26 percent) of Facebook users in the United States said that they had deleted Facebook applications from their phones in the past year. The data was obtained from a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center this summer.

A larger percentage, 42 percent, said that they did not open Facebook for several weeks or more. And, 54 percent said that they had adjusted their privacy settings in the past year.

Quoted from Recode, Friday (7/9), this happened as a kind of counter-attack on social media. There is an idea that now is a bad time to use Facebook because companies do not take user privacy seriously, especially in relation to the Cambridge Analytica case.

BPPT Recommends Solar Energy as a Source of Electricity

Energy development in Indonesia is faced with a major problem in the form of a gap between potential energy sources (primary energy) and consumption of various types of energy. For example, the ratio between the level of production and the potential of petroleum reserves is very large, while the ratio of geothermal utilization is longer because of its nature as renewable energy.

Therefore according to Deputy Technology Technology Policy Assessment (PKT) BPPT Gatot Dwianto, Indonesia as a tropical country, needs to utilize solar energy which is currently being developed by various parties. Like being converted into electricity.

"The use of solar energy using solar photovoltaic (PV) technology or solar cells is expected to be an option to replace primary energy sources to be converted into electricity," Gatot said through a written message on Thursday (6/9).

He said, in fact the Indonesian government through various policies had encouraged the growth of manufacturing solar power generation components in the country. For example through the application of domestic content levels (TKDN) for the procurement of solar power devices carried out by government agencies and state-owned enterprises to encourage the growth of the solar power plant component industry (PLTS) in the country.

Twitter Try Out Online Medium Marker Feature

Twitter Product Management Director Sara Haider said the social networking application continues to update. This is done so that the platform is more widely used for conversation.

Sara Haider's upload on her account was even retweeted by the owner aka CEO Jack Dorsey, quoted from the Phone Arena page, Monday (3/9). Sara displays two new features that are being tested before being actually used by citizens.

The first feature relates to replies on Twitter reviews. In the uploaded screenshot, the reply in a Twitter review is marked with a column that is more protruding to the right than the reply that was answered.

The second feature that is being tested Twitter is an indicator that the account is currently online, in the form of a green dot in the user's profile photo. But, some users object to this indicator because of privacy and abuse.

Some users want this indicator to be optional, while others, who feel they are being targeted by other users, think this green indicator will make them attacked while online.

Previously Twitter announced it would start cleaning their services from accounts that tried to avoid blocking. Reporting from the Techcrunch page on Wednesday (15/8), Twitter said that the account in question was a user who had previously been suspended due to harsh words or tried to run away from a previous blocking.

Google Officially Replaces YouTube Red with YouTube Music and Premium

Google officially announced the replacement of RED YouTube services into two new streaming service offerings, namely YouTube Music and Youtube Premium. Customers who want to get YouTube Music can only spend $ 9.99 or Rp140 thousand per month and YouTube Premium is priced at USD11.99 or about Rp170 thousand per month.

The difference is, for YouTube Music it still shows a few ads when customers want to listen to music or watch streaming videos. Meanwhile, for YouTube Premium will provide music video services without ads.

Reporting from The Verge, Friday (05/18/2018), YouTube Music is Google's attempt to rival Spotify, with the appearance of the "latest mobile application" and a new desktop player. Both are designed specifically for music.

Google argues, the advantage of YouTube is being able to combine all original song versions with thousands of playlist accesses ranging from remixes, covers, live broadcast versions, and of course, video clips.

Currently, Google's artificial intelligence (AI) is also being integrated into YouTube Music. Later, this application will find songs either with lyrics or just general descriptions such as "whistling."

The new look of YouTube Music comes with a more dynamic application main screen. There, users can view songs based on the history of the song that is often played, the location and activity of the listener.
