Offer Quick Internet Access, It's Different TDD and FDD Technology

Telkomsel strengthens its 4G service by using 2.3 GHz TDD (Time Division Duplex) frequency. As is known, the frequency is achieved Telkomsel in an auction organized by the Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo).

TDD itself is considered superior to FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) on the spectrum of 900 MHz, 1,800 MHz, and 2100 MHz. Thanks to TDD, customers will enjoy faster internet, and better video quality.

Indra explained, FDD spectrum uses different frequencies when users download or upload. As a result there is a difference between the speed at the time of download and upload.

While TDD uses the same frequency for both upload and download. So customers have the same speed when doing these activities.

"The difference with the current (TDD) upload and download speed is the same, FDD frequency is the same but turns Telkomsel already have both," said Indra Mardiatna, Vice President of Technology and System Telkomsel in Jakarta, Tuesday (28/11/2017).

FDD and TDD ownership also allows Telkomsel to optimize 4G services for customers, for example when TDD spectrum is used by many users.

Number of LED Lamps Cause Light Pollution

Scientists say the night sky no longer feels like night. New research shows the use of artificial lighting from light poles, buildings, and cars causes the loss of the night sky in many regions around the world.

Night death can have a serious impact on animals and plants that biologically react differently during the day and night. Interactive maps have been created to reveal the most seriously exposed global areas of light pollution.

Dr. Christopher Kyba and colleagues from the German GFZ Research Center for Geoscience at Postdam measured the spread of light around the world using satellite images of the Earth's surface. By comparing images taken at night over the years, scientists can map how much light pollution.

In this interactive map, the red part has a high level of light pollution. Meanwhile, the yellow section has a moderate light pollution level.

Green or blue colors show lower light pollution levels. Empty area is not affected by artificial lighting.

AI Remind When Others Take a Peek at Mobile

Artificial intelligence or artificial intelligence (AI) makes it easier for humans in any case. Not only on the big things like medical interests and robotics, AI also helps in trivial matters.

One of them is the latest AI innovation being developed by Google. Technology company headquartered in Mountain View, California, USA, it makes AI that can remind when there are others peeking at the phone.

The problem is trivial, but often disturbing when someone is in public areas or public transportation. When you're busy mobile phone, people on the side or behind can be a peek at what is being accessed.

In order to minimize the risk of privacy, researchers at Google created a device called an e-screen protector. Innovations that are still in the research stage rely on the front camera to identify people other than users who try to peek at the screen.

Qualcomm Improve Voice Quality of USB Type-C Mobile Phone

The 3.5 audio connector is starting to disappear from the smartphone as some vendors move it and relocate it with audio output via the Type-C USB connector.

Users who want to convert the USB Type-C audio output to 3.5 mm plug can use a dongle converter. The problem is, this dongle usually produces a less good sound output.

The problem is trying to overcome Qualcomm by presenting digital codec to analog converter (DAC) Aqstic ATQ1000. It looks like a dongle converter with a Type-C USB imput and 3.5 mm audio output. It's just that, the quality of DAC in it is higher.

"Aqstic ATQ1000 supports sampling rates of up to 384 KHz, 32 bits, and dynamic range of over 120 decibels," said Qualcomm Senior Product Management Director Ravi Satya when announcing the presence of Aqstic ATQ1000 at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2017 in Maui, Hawaii, USA United, Thursday (7/12/2017).

Google Presents 2 Powerful Apps Quota, What It Is

Google seems to be very concerned about the new internet users (Next Billion Users). Not only released Android Go, as the operating system for low-end smartphones, the technology giant also launched two applications that are quota friendly.

Unmitigated, Google brings two applications titled Files Go and Google Go.

Google Go is a search application that saves data quota for mobile phones with limited internet and Wi-Fi. This application only takes 5 MB memory slot only.

Thanks to Google's innovation development in mobile computing technology, users can even save up to 40% of their quota when they search for information with Google Go.

Meanwhile Files Go is an application to send and receive files without using internet. Users can transfer files from their phones to other phones at close range.

The file transfer process was encrypted, the speed reached 125 Mbps, and did not use the user's phone quota. Not only that, this application is also able to arrange file storage on the user's mobile phone more quickly.

This app is based on Google research in 170 cities in Indonesia and India. New internet users in this region are rated as likely to use low-end phones with memory capacities between 512 MB to 1 GB.

Users in this region also often access the Internet in places with unstable network quality. As a result Google's search app is designed to run quickly despite only supported low-end phones and 2G networks.

Some of These Applications Use AI Technology

Internet-based technology developer company Cheetah Mobile is developing applications besutannya. The application is dibesut with the role of artificial intelligence or Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"AI development has been done since last year," said Cheetah Mobile vice president Johnny Li in Jakarta, some time ago. The AI-based technology platform brings new opportunities to mobile utility space, as well as promotes the advancement of mobile content products.

PhotoGrid, transfer style and facial recognition from AI technology are the main foundation behind a number of special effects on the application. For example, the 'twinkle' effect as the first feature supported by AI so as to change the photo to look like shine. Then the style transfer technology is also applied to the 'venus' filter. Users can combine faces with different characters, such as the example of a woman can combine her face into a fairy-faced woman.

PhotoGrid application can also be applied to animation filters with a smoother effect on the wearer's face. In fact, AI is able to classify images to recognize and delete 'erotic' spicy contents. Now, PhotoGrid is being planted AI in the form of deep learning to be able to understand its users. Deep learning is expected to provide personalized recommendations specifically for photo editing effects and filters.

AI deep learning technology is also applied to Cheetah Keyboard applications. This allows the app to analyze data and 'learn' about 2 billion words and phrases. Especially Indonesian users, Cheetah Keyboard will continue to expand the scale of the language used. Another advantage, the efficiency and accuracy of typing text is largely reinforced with predictive text technology.

Admin WhatsApp Will Be Silent Celotehan Group Members

The WhatsApp group is sometimes annoying because too many voices ask to be heard. As a result, the discussion is often not focused and widened everywhere.

WhatsApp seems to be working on this issue by testing the feature titled "Restricted Groups". The feature allows only group admins to send messages, while other members can only read messages.

Restricted Group was first stabbed by WABetaInfo which has often revealed WhatsApp features in the testing phase. The beta version of Restricted Group itself is present for Android and iOS.

In essence, Restricted Group invites the admin to turn off the chat-group function. This feature glorifies one-way communication, ideal for spreading announcements or other important information that does not need feedback.

"This feature is important when the admin wants all members to focus on one chosen topic, for example for important notes when organizing an event," as written in the blog WABetaInfo, as compiled KompasTekno, Monday (04/12/2017).

AI Technology in Mobile Phone Camera, Can Anything

Technology Artificial Intelligence (AI) or artificial intelligence on smart phones is predicted to be the future of smartphone photography. Gadget Observer and Founder of Gadtorade Community Lucky Sebastian revealed that space limitation on smart phones will open up opportunities for AI technology about photography.

"The shape of the phone is very limited only to put the lens with a small camera sensor, AI will be very helpful," said Lucky. In producing high quality images, the role of software is needed.

Lucky explained, AI became 'a new injection' that is able to produce quality photos near perfect. If AI has the ability to process editing algorithm, the user seems to have a photoshop expert with the ability to polish near perfect.

Sometimes the fans of selfie photos do want to look more beautiful when compared to the original or natural photo. But a good artificial intelligence technology will give the finishing touches more accurate results. Technology is able to measure how far the level of skin color, smoothness of the skin, to the large eyeballs.

The best AI technology is capable of measuring the best 'vermak' according to face type, skin color, gender, race, and other variables. If a smart phone already has the technology of artificial intelligence, it must be ready in terms of infrastructure.

Foil Aluminum Assessed Can Fix Wi-Fi Signal

If you ever thought of switching to aluminum foil to divert the Wi-Fi signal in your bad home, you're wrong. Quoted from Engadget, EurekAlert reports, researchers at Dartmouth College have found that 3D printed signal reflectors, comprised of thin layers of metal and plastic, can drastically and cheaply improve the wireless signal around the house.

This experiment is based on the idea of using aluminum soda behind the router to be able to steer the signal away from the annoying walls and other obstructions. The team is able to analyze a space and create a custom reflector that will optimize the WiFi signal in the room.

They then enter data into a custom program called WiPrint that designs the optimal plastic reflector and makes it use a 3D printer. The final step is to close the object in aluminum foil and place it on the router.

This solution solves some problems with WiFi signal. The cost is not expensive. If you have access to a 3D printer, it only costs about 35 US dollars, if compared to directional antennas that cost much more.

Watch out, Ransomware DoubleLocker Incar Android

Researchers from the ESET security company found a ransomware that attacked the Android operating system. In addition to holding user data, a ransomware called DoubleLocker can change the device PIN.

"Changing the PIN and preventing users from accessing the device and encrypting the victim data," says researchers from ESET Lukáš Štefanko.

Just like other ransomware, the victim must grant the ransom that the hacker requested to retrieve the data.

The previous DoubleLock method is also used (malware) in the banking section. Even so, ransomware is not able to access banking services from Android-based smartphones or tablets.

DoubleLocker spreads through a fake version of Adobe Flash Player updates that are posted on certain sites. Ransomware is pretty clever. He can "seduce" the victim to activate DoubleLocker unknowingly.

Once active, ransomware will encrypt the data that is on Android smartphones. Smartphone can not be opened because protected new PIN.

How To "Crack" Break Through Security Almost All WiFi in the World

The tech world was struck by the invention of Mathy Vanhoef. The Belgian security researcher from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven last weekend publicized the findings of a security hole that could break into a Wi-Fi wireless internet network, although it protected the W-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) security protocol.

Named the key re-installation attack aka "Krack", this security gap can be used to tap various kinds of information sent by the client device to the internet via Wi-Fi network.

"This can be used to steal sensitive data such as credit card numbers, passwords, chat messages, emails, photos, and more," said researcher Mathy Vanhoef in the site devoted to the source of information about Kracks.

The Krack impact scale is enormous, as it includes all electronic devices that have Wi-Fi capability with WPA2. The number of millions, if not billions, ranging from handheld devices, computers, to a smart refrigerator.

"This weakness exists in the WI-Fi standard itself, not in specific products or implementations individually, so any WPA2 implementation must be affected," Vanhoef continued.

Watch Out! Wi-Fi Can Be Used to Hijack Media Computer Systems

The researcher reveals a new discovery called KRACK, which exploits a Wi-Fi security vulnerability in order for Hackers to tap traffic between computers and wireless access points. The discovery, as first reported by Ars Technica, utilizes several key management vulnerabilities in the WPA2 security protocol, a popular authentication scheme used to protect private and corporate Wi-Fi networks.

"If your device supports Wi-Fi, it will most likely be affected," said the researcher, citing The Verge, Monday (16/10).

In fact, the US Computer Emergency Preparedness Team issued a warning in response to this remarkable discovery that says US-CERT has been aware of some key management vulnerabilities in the 4-way handshake system of the Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) security protocol. The impact of exploiting this vulnerability includes decryption, packet replay, TCP connection hijacking, HTTP content injection, and more. Note that as a protocol level issue, most or all of the correct implementation of the standard will be affected. CERT / CC and the investigator of KU Leuven, will publicly disclose this vulnerability.

Working "Mobile", First Change Used Device

Singer Niall Horan's visit to Asia a few months ago drew special attention. Moreover, there was a casual interview himself in one of the private television programs.

One of the things to remember is when the former One Direction personnel are asked about the mainstay items must be taken while traveling.

"I travel a lot on a plane, and I'm on a long journey," he began.

Because of that condition, Niall always bring a tablet and subscribe television series from Netflix. In the past, he was a fan of television shows. Then, busyness made him leave the electronic object.

"I always carry (tablet) so as not to get bored," he added.

For Nial, carrying a tablet is very practical. With that thing, he can enjoy his free time without having to dream about watching on television.

Flexibility and thrift

Just like Niall, busyness can change your needs. For mobile workers, for example, it would be difficult to be pegged to a home-installed device.

Offshore Power Generation is Cheaper than Nuclear

For the first time, the cost of generating energy from offshore winds in the UK is cheaper than nuclear. As quoted from the page, Independent, official data published on Monday revealed, offshore wind projects can generate power 74.75 per hour megawatt, while the nuclear only 57.50.

"We know today's results will be impressive, but this is very surprising," said Hugh McNeal, chief executive officer of RenewableUK, the UK renewable energy trade association.

"The record-breaking cost reduction as achieved by offshore winds is unprecedented for large energy infrastructure," he said.

Larger turbines and higher voltage cables in recent years have caused prices for wind power to fall. The new price averaged 47 percent lower than two and a half years ago when the last competitive auction result was announced.

Michael Grubb, professor of international energy and climate change policy at University College London, said the auction results confirm a new era in British energy.

"Wind energy will make the mantle the most important and valuable energy source in the UK when our oil and gas runs out, turning the energy world upside down," he said.
