How to Replace Fonts in WhatsApp So Bold and Italic

WhatsApp has a feature that changes the shape of the letters of messages to be sent to colleagues or other users.

WhatsApp users can do formatting text or customize letter formats, such as bold, italic, and strikethrough text.

This feature has actually been released WhatsApp since 2016 ago but quite a lot of users who do not know it.

Plus, WhatsApp does not provide special menus or buttons like in MS Word applications for the new features. It takes certain tricks to create text with that format.

Here's how to do it.

Bold (bold)
To make the text in WhatsApp message bold, add an asterisk (*) in front of and back of the desired text, for example * Bold *.

Italic (italics)

To make the text in WhatsApp message to italic, add underscore (_) marks in front of and back of the desired text, for example _tellings.

Strikethrough (crossed out text)

To make the text in WhatsApp message has a streak, add a tilde (~) sign in the front and back of the desired text, eg ~ text is crossed ~.

Make sure the WhatsApp version you have is up to date, at least 2.12.17 for iOS and 2.12.5 for Android versions.

This code can also be used WhatsApp desktop version or WhatsApp Web Client. However, the format of the above letters (bold, italic, and strikethrough) will only appear in the mobile app version.
