Two Months of Unused Android, Backup Data Can Be Automatically Deleted

Backup data or back up on Android can apparently be erased automatically. It could happen when Android smartphone users have not used the device for two months.

Data backup in the form of setting (data setting) in Android smartphone, WiFi password, and application data on the device. Important data such as contacts and photos will not be erased. Datadi Google Drive is safe.

Backing up of backup data on Android is actually a natural thing. As KompasTekno summarized from Phone Arena on Tuesday (9/19/2017), Google has included the rule in terms of service Android.

Google will send you notifications, even new devices are inactive for 2 weeks.

"If you do not use the device for 2 weeks, you will see (notification) the expiration date under the back up information," Google wrote.

Unfortunately, the notification will only appear in the back up information. Google does not send e-mail notification about the deletion of the backup data.

This happens to an owner of a Tanglebrook account in Reddit, who is unaware of any such conditions. Suddenly backup data on his Android is gone.

At that time, Tanglebrook did replace using his old iPhone for some time. While his Android smartphone is not used at all.

However, users can also have a simple solution to avoid automatic data deletion. The solution is simply by activating or using his Android smartphone, within a span of time not exceeding two weeks or two months.
