WhatsApp updates their apps by releasing the feature picture in picture (PiP). This feature allows WhatsApp users to make video calls (video calls) while opening other apps, including typing messages to other contacts.
This feature was previously tested in beta. Now, the test seems to be over and WhatsApp is starting to release the feature for all its users.
As reported by KompasTekno from GSM Arena, Sunday (10/09/2017), currently only Android Oreo users who can feel the video call using PiP mode. Other types of Android can not feel it.
PiP itself is an inbuilt feature of Android Oreo that allows making video calls can still be executed in a small window, while users open other applications.
In addition to releasing the PiP feature, WhatsApp has also returned a text message in the Status column.
Previously, the instant messaging application was able to delete text message mode in Status, so users can only upload photos or short videos in their Status.
With this update, WhatsApp users can upload Text-based status, with a certain background color. Text messaging feature can be felt by all users, whether using Android Oreo or previous versions.
