Thanks to the "Snoopers" feature, Tinder became the most popular App in the App Store

Tinder suddenly became the best-selling app (based on revenue) on the Apple App Store. This is the first time a dating app has reached that position in the Apple app store.

This rare event is probably caused by the launch of a new feature called Tinder Gold. Because, the popularity of Tinder suddenly jumped one day after the launch of the feature.

Tinder Gold lets users take a peek, who gives Give, or who swipe right on their profile. This feature can be accessed without having to wipe the screen at all.

As is well known, Tinder allows users to view other users' profiles and wipe the screen to show likes and dislikes. But all this time, fellow users no one knows who the people who like it.

Therefore, as reported by KompasTekno from TechCrunch, Tuesday (5/9/2017), the existence of new features Tinder Gold becomes very significant for users and so the trigger rise in popularity of dating applications.

Tinder Gold itself is a premium feature that requires a certain fee to activate it. The price of Tinder Gold is 4.99 US dollars or equivalent to Rp 66.000 per month.

The new feature has been through trial processes in a number of countries over the past few months. Tinder then released it for users around the world, gradually, starting last week.

Based on App Annie's data, Tinder's revenue accounted for one-third of the 15 most popular app revenue in the App Store. In addition, Tinder is also included in one of the 15 most popular applications based on daily revenue, throughout 2017.
