Along with improving the quality of content, especially cameras that are now capable of recording 4K video and high-resolution photographs, the storage media requirements in the gadget also increases.
In response to these trends, Sandisk introduced the largest capacity microSD memory card. Storage space provided by a product called full Sandisk Ultra MicroSDXC UHS-I reaches 400 GB.
The capacity is enough to hold a myriad of multimedia content, such as full-HD video for 40 hours or more than 67,000 photos taken using top-class smartphones, as summarized KompasTekno from Wired on Saturday (9/2/2017).
"We continue to push the boundaries and transform the way users use their mobile devices," said Sven Rathjen, Vice President of Product marketing at Western Digital, the holding company of Sandisk.
Not just extra relief, microSD memory card is also fairly fairly fast with data transfer speeds reaching 100 megabytes per second (read speed) with UHS Speed Class 1 standard.
However, the capacity of Sandisk Ultra MicroSDXC UHS-I 400 GB should be redeemed at a relatively high price. Memory card is priced at 250 US dollars or about USD 3.4 million, 50 US dollars more expensive than SanDisk 256 GB microSD.
