Had predicted as a competitor Android OS and IOS, the fate of Windows 10 Mobile made by Microsoft is now unclear, along with the declining market share of mobile operating system.
Gartner research firm data shows, the market share of Windows Phone in the realm of smartphones less than 1 percent worldwide, more precisely 0.1 percent, or almost none in the first quarter of 2017.
On Sunday (8/10/2017) yesterday, Microsoft's Corporate Vice President of Windows, Joe Belfiore, confirmed the fate of Windows Mobile 10 devices and OS. He mentioned that the OS is no longer "into focus" Microsoft.
"We will continue to support the platform (Windows 10 Mobile) and deliver bug fixes, security updates, and more. But making new features or hardware is not the focus, "chirped Belfiore on his Twitter account.
Windows 10 Mobile was practically abandoned by the creator himself. Why is that? The reason, as explained by Belfiore, Windows 10 Mobile is very lack of applications than alternative OS, such as Android and IOS.
