Now at the end of 2017, Google officially launches Android Go, coinciding with the finalization of Android Oreo 8.1. The smartphone vendors are able to channel Android Go to low-end devices and Android Oreo 8.1 to their high-end devices.
Smartphone specifications that fit the Android OS Go according to Google is a smartphone that has 1 GB of RAM or less, limited memory, connectivity is not qualified, and CPU improvise. Android Go is expected to answer the needs of the community termed "Next Billion Users", ie those who have not been exposed to cyberspace at all.
Their numbers are quite large, ie half of the 7.6 billion human population in the world, or about 3.8 billion people. One of their challenges to becoming an online society is access to smartphones that are still limited because the price is relatively expensive.

There are several default apps listed on Android Go, including Google Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, YouTube Go, Google Assistant Go, Files Go, Gboard, Chrome and Play. Everything is a standard application that is familiar to Android users, but in a more efficient version of memory.
As an illustration, Google Go which is a light version of the "Search" app only takes 4.65 MB of memory. The capacity is much lower than the standard Search that earned 60 MB.
YouTube Go itself is only 8.9 MB, while the standard version is 25 MB. It should be noted, the memory capacity trimming of course along with cutting functions and features. In essence, the "Go" version only provides the basic functionality of an app.
Device availability with Android Go promised the next few months. The applications "Go" will soon also available on the Play Store in the near future.
