Chrome Will Fight Down The Obnoxious "Redirect" Ads

Ever suddenly redirected to an ad page when visiting a website? That annoying thing is the way advertisers use to outsmart the pop-up blockers in the browser, so that their ads will still appear in front of visitors.

Chome's browser users are apparently a lot of annoyed and complain about the existence of these redirect ads to Google. The Internet giant was also taking steps to eradicate redirect ads through Chrome.

"One example (redirect ads) that frustrates users is that, once you click on a link, the destination page opens in a new tab, while the main window is redirected to an unwanted (ad) page," Google wrote in the Chromium blog about the complaint users against redirect ads.

According to Google, the action of page redirection to the ad site is the act of a third-party content provider who has an ad on the page.

The "feed" form for redirects can vary. In addition to the examples above, there are also links to ad pages disguised as "play" buttons of content or other control buttons. The undercover goal is to deceive visitors into accidentally clicking on an ad link.
