Microsoft's Bing Now Can Find the "Content" Facebook

Two days after Facebook announced the search function Graph Search, Microsoft's search engine Bing already offers similar capabilities.

Quoted from Cnet, Thursday (01/17/2013) and then, Bing announced the addition of features to display the following status update shared links, and comments from Facebook are linked to a user's search.

The information is displayed in the "Social Sidebar" on the right side of the screen that usually displays relevant search results from social networks like Twitter and Foursquare.




Now the column is also capable of displaying status updates Facebook, as well as photos of friends of users in more detail.

Before Graph Search Facebook emerged, Bing only offers search results pictures, places, people, and interests related to the user's search.

"Now, Bing could share interesting content including status updates, photos, and commentary related to the search user. Consequently, the number of per-user searches that can be indexed by Bing rose to five-fold," said Bing corporate vice president Derrick Connell .

Even with this new feature, the Bing said that Facebook users' privacy is protected. Not all user data can appear in one's quest automatically, only allowed for public consumption only (via settings in Facebook).
