There is a new feature in Google Maps for Android - iOS

Google on Tuesday ( 06/05/2014 ) yesterday distribute updates the map service Google Maps for Android and iOS platforms .

As reported by The Verge , Google Maps version 8.0 ( Android ) and version 3.0 ( IOS ) is adding a series of new features , including offline maps are now officially present in iOS after previously appearing in the form of " easter egg " .

Some locations such as certain cities in the map now provides the option " Save map to use offline " , if available in the info sheet , so that could be explored when the user does not get an internet connection .

Navigation turn- by-turn for some regions ( United States , as well as some areas in Canada and Japan ) now also shows the description of the path to be taken when the driver approached the exit or way round .


Turn- by- turn navigation is now also able to display information distance goals and estimated time of arrival based on the speed of the rider . A menu presents a selection of alternative routes available .
