Windows 9 'Threshold' Support Resolution 8K

A leaked image reveals that Microsoft's latest OS, Windows 9, or what is known as the Threshold can display a resolution of 8K. Leaked image is uploaded on the website PCPortal.org.ru.

Reported by WPCentral, Sunday (21/09/2014), leaked pictures show the size of the Windows Explorer icon which supports up to 768 x 768 pixels resolution on OS Threshold. Other leaked images show that the classical scaling for applications requiring up to 240 DPI support.

Most of the PC is still showing the display resolution of 1080p or less than that. In fact, some users still have not switched to 4K display device.

If the leaked pictures are accurate, it seems Microsoft is preparing to welcome the monitor and notebook PC which has a high resolution for the next few years. Reportedly, Windows 9 will be introduced on 30 September 2014 in San Francisco.

Microsoft's plan for a press event focused on enterprise customers. As for public preview, Windows 9 is expected to be announced a few days after 30 September 2014.
