"Malware" Targeting Android Users who Gemar Access Porn Site

Ransomware new type found on Android devices. The program is known targeting Android users who often visit adult sites.

Based on a study, users of Android is more in terms of access to adult sites or pornographic than any other mobile platform users.

The new ransomware found certain this will inject code into the Android device whenever users visit a porn site.

The code will then display a warning that seems official of the government, told that their device has been blocked and can not be used anymore.

To be able to use its Android devices, users are asked to pay a ransom of up to 200 US dollars, or approximately USD 2.6 million. Surprisingly, the ransom must be transferred using iTunes gift code Stores (Apple app store).

After investigation, it turns out is how hackers exploit weaknesses in Android to increase the coffers of their credit at iTunes Store.

According to Blue Coat, companies in the field of security of Android, ransomware named "Cyber.Police" APK does not need to be installed or infiltrate phone.

Quoted KompasTekno from Phone Arena, Wednesday (04/27/2016), Cyber.Police will lock all other applications, preventing applications that run or stop the ransomware.

The program will also make itself the first application that will run when the phone is switched on, in addition to making the infected device profiles, and communicate with the server command-and-control.

So far, the version of the Android OS that is suspected to be the target is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to version 4.3 Jelly Bean. The Android 4.4 KitKat also suspected of getting the same attack.

Ransomware is said can not be overcome. Not known is whether these malicious programs has been spread in Indonesia or not.
