Everyone Can Be Editor for Google Maps

Google Maps started to get involved to improve the accuracy of the information on its services. Starting today, Friday (22/07/2016), multiple users can edit your own Maps location and details somewhere.

Not only that, users can also confirm the edits made by others. Such a mechanism is expected to improve the accuracy of information on Maps.

Although only intended for multiple users, Google promised this capability will soon be felt all Maps users in the next few months, as reported by TechCrunch and collected KompasTekno, Friday (07/22/2016).

If you've seen the "Suggest an Edit" and "Add a Missing Place" in the Maps application, it means you are one of a small percentage of users are lucky. You can enter new information or edit a long time if it is still false information or need to be added.

Information and your editing is not necessarily accepted by Maps. The Service will ensure the accuracy of your information through a notification to other users.

If your information is approved by many users, Google will verify the information and embed it in Maps.

With this, all users will be helped so Maps editor for the digital map service. Google hopes this can enrich information about offices, restaurants and other places.

Going forward, Google Maps can target the more easier for users to drop a selection of restaurants, shopping, or visiting certain places.
