WhatsApp is preparing a new feature that will allow its users to watch YouTube videos, without having to leave the chat column.
It is considered more ideal to watch links containing YouTube videos while chatting. Because users do not have to go back and forth between two apps to watch while replying to a chat.
As reported by KompasTekno from the Independent on Wednesday (7/19/2017), the new feature is now being developed by WhatsApp and the plan will be released soon.
The new feature now exists in the form of hidden code inside WhatsApp for iOS. The new hidden code will be activated at launch time.
When this new feature is released, users will be able to view YouTube videos in picture-in-picture mode, directly in the conversation columns.
The window that displays the video can be shifted and moved at will to the user's heart, without having to stop the video playback. Users can also enlarge or display it in full screen position, if you want.
In the current version WhatsApp, when a user clicks on a YouTube link in a chat column, it will automatically open the YouTube app.
This is considered to be impractical as users have to switch between the YouTube app and WhatsApp in order to be able to watch videos and reply to chats.
