Arief Musta'in, Director & Chief Innovation Officer of Indosat Ooredoo sees 5G as having the potential to accelerate digital transformation in various industries in Indonesia. The 5G network can empower consumers with innovative applications.
"5G readiness is embedded in our vision in an effort to build a competitive quality video network," Arief said in Jakarta recently.
Indosat Ooredoo is working with Ericsson to proudly demonstrate a demonstration of a 5G usage case, especially the first 3D Augmented Reality experience in Indonesia. This will enable innovation in various industries, such as education and health care.
This collaboration is also in order to celebrate the 51st anniversary of Indosat Ooredo. The two companies highlight two main demos, the test bed for 5G and 3D-AR (Augmented Reality).
The 5G test bed speed reaches 10 Gb ps per EU (User Equipment) of a total of 20 Gb ps, which means it is much faster than LTE. The 5G test bed also has a beam tracking as one of the superior capabilities of 5G which enables higher capacity and performance.
