When introducing the iPhone 5S in September last year , Apple claims that the A7 processor is embedded in the smart phone has the architecture " class desktop processor " .
The claim was not nonsense. As revealed by AnandTech , a pair of core ( core ) CPU named " Cyclone " that drive the A7 is indeed more like a complex than a desktop processor core mobile processor from Qualcomm Krait wide .
Cyclone is the core ARMv8 - A 64 - bit design which is the successor to Apple's previous generation , " Swift " , which is used in the A6 chip .
" Apple does not make the competition Krait / Silvermont , but rather something much closer to a larger core processor ( desktop ) Intel , " Anand wrote in his report .
