Make Browsing Faster, Google Make a New Picture Format, What It Is

Google is working on a new project to make the internet faster in its search engine. The California-based company is said to have a new image format called Pik.

This information is revealed through a file upload on GitHub's official profile, as reported 9to5Google, Wednesday (26/7/2017)

The new format, based on readable files, is a new standard that uses small file sized images that can browse quickly.

As we know, large file-sized images will make the internet connection slower so that Google tries to compress the file size on the image.

Previously Google has also implemented the same thing through WebP. The format of the image was released by Google in September 2010. However, there is currently no known difference between the two Google format.
