New Processor Intel Makes Laptop Fans Do not Need

Almost all laptops on the market today rely on a fan to remove heat from the processor while it is working. In the future, a thin type of Ultrabook laptop that uses an Intel Core M may not need the cooler it will be again.

This was promised by Intel, which on Monday (11/08/2014) officially introduced the 14 nanometer manufacturing technology (nm) hers.

This technology will be used to produce a family of processors "Broadwell" which is a future generation chip from Intel. Broadwell consists of a number of variants. Broadwell Series processors intended for laptops and tablet named Intel Core M.

14 nm manufacturing technology "shrink" the physical size of the processor while also pressing the power usage and heat generation.

Compared to the 22 nm technology used in previous Intel processors, the resulting power saving technology 14 nm to 25 percent, while the performance of the processor can be maintained at the same level.
