U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission or consumer product safety commission in the United States reveals a warning to users who purchase the Sony VAIO PC with Flip SVF11N13CXS model number.
This laptop users are asked to stop using the mobile PC devices. Users are also advised to immediately contact Sony for instructions and how to return the product for repair or refund in full.
This warning appears because the product with model number SVF11N13CXS has a lithium-ion battery that can generate excess heat. Thus, it is possible to burn.
"Sony is aware of four incidents, which occurred in Asia, with the computer overheating, smoke generating unit (PC), burn and melt. No injuries were reported," the warning related to 'recall' the product, as reported by TomsHardware, Wednesday (02.07.2014).
