Microsoft will not be releasing the tablet Surface just 10.6 inches in size only. The company, based in Redmond, United States, is rumored to be launching Surface also in a smaller size.
Unfortunately, consumers will not see the device, at least until 2014.

According to the sources, there are several reasons why Microsoft's new Surface will be releasing version mini coming in 2014. One of them, Microsoft was waiting for the Windows operating system update 8.1 version of "Spring 2014 GDR".

Spring 2014 General Distribution Release (GDR), was quoted as saying
from Slashgear, Friday (30/9/2013), will have features that are "in
line" with Windows Phone "Blue". Unfortunately, it has not been explained, what features will get into the criteria "in line".
