Domain "Desa.id" It Could Adopted

Internet Domain Name Management Indonesia (Pandi) launched a two-level domain (DTD) new "desa.id" on May 1, 2013. This domain will be used by the village entity that has not had its own internet domain.
Chairman Pandi, Andi Budimansyah, say, the domain of pure desa.id a proposal submitted to the Pandi community. "We fully encourage public involvement in the policy making domain management. Id," Andi said in a press release received KompasTekno.
Desa.id domain proposed by the Rural Empowerment Volunteer Nusantara (RPDN) and Rural Building Movement (GDM). The proposal was put forward for the village as the smallest unit of government can not use the domain go.id. "According to the current regulation of the minister, go.id domain can only be used by the district or city level," said Andi.



Setyo Bayu Nugroho, head of the village Dermaji, Lumbir district, Banyumas regency, Central Java, welcomed the launch of the domain desa.id. Before releasing desa.id domain, Pandi do praregistrasi stage at 15 to 27 April 2013. Praregistrasi ensure all communities have equal opportunity to register a domain name registrant before applied first principles or commonly referred to as a first come first serve.
At the time praregistrasi, recorded 32 villages from all over Indonesia to register. Most provincial registration is Central Java, followed by West Java, Riau, East Java, South Sulawesi and Jambi.
Since May 1, 2013, desa.id domains can be registered by the village chief or village secretary concerned. Domain desa.id expected to support the development of Indonesian Internet content from the rural areas. "This is in line with the government's program to develop the Internet into rural areas. We hope will emerge contents distinctively different from the current content is predominantly urban," added Andy.
