Lithium-Ion Batteries period Endangered

Lithium-ion batteries are currently used for smartphones, is likely to be replaced with a new kind of battery called aluminum-ion from Stanford. Because the technology in the new battery is claimed to be able to charge more quickly.

Aluminum battery is disclosed made from aluminum and graphite, as a cheap and efficient alternative to existing batteries. The company claims, the prototype battery is claimed to be more flexible and durable, and can be fully charged in a short amount of time which is approximately one minute.

"We have developed a rechargeable battery that can replace the aluminum existing devices, such as alkaline batteries are bad for the environment, as well as lithium-ion batteries are sometimes flammable. Our new battery will not burn even been tried in various ways, "said Hongjie Dai, Professor of Chemistry at Stanford, as reported from Androidauthority, Wednesday (04/08/2015).

The big problem of lithium-ion batteries are the materials used, as well as generate enough voltage with limited charge cycles. While the aluminum battery, the charging cycle can last up to 7,500 cycles without reducing the capacity of the battery itself.

Resources mentioned, is currently in the stage of completion aluminum battery. The new battery can generate power of about 2 volts, far different from the type of lithium-ion battery is 3.6 volts. However, the batteries are cheaper than lithium aluminum which only consumes electric power of 40 watts, compared with lithium which reaches 100 to 206 watts.
In addition to Note 4, another Samsung flagship phone offers a battery that can be replaced is Note 3. Note 3 offers a 5.7-inch landscape display resolution of 1,080 pixels, 13-megapixel camera, the function of the S Pen stylus, and battery capacity of 3200 mAh.
