Google Planning Making Online Music Store

Five months after introducing a cloud music service with limited service, Google began negotiating with major record labels to expand its services. Google plans to open an online music store that will compete with Apple (iTunes) and Amazon.

According to some music executives, Google is planning to open a music store the next few weeks. This music store will most likely be connected with the Google cloud services that Music Beta that allows users to backup their music files on the remote server and can do streaming on mobile devices.


However, a Google spokesman declined to comment to the media is still on this subject. Google may be hoping to open a music store before Apple operates iTunes music service cloud in October 2011. ITunes cloud services have been published since June 2011, but only operated in October.

Previous negotiations with major record label companies for services "smart locker service" (web-formatted storage system that allows links to collections of digital music users) is experiencing failure. Google sued by record labels because they can not suppress piracy that occurs after the service was operated.

Google does not like Apple has licensed music to iTunes, where users can instantly download songs directly from the master Apple's collection. Amazon even more desperate because it has launched a cloud computing-based music service without a license, five weeks after Google launched its Music Beta.
